Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year we have been dealing with unprecedented, and challenging circumstances. Since March, we've all struggled with the world changes, due to the Covid Pandemic. We are currently teaching and learning 100% remotely. We are all ready to work, but the technical issues... YIKES As a teacher of 32 students, not having higher quality technology is an issue

On a perfect day, the technical situation is difficult, and there are not many perfect tech days; but the kids are AMAZING and ready to work with smiles on their faces every day!

Being able to plan, upload and have great online meetings is vital to this new era of education. I am doing my very best, but the tech hardware I'm using is letting me down.

I am so lucky to be working with this great bunch of hardworking children who are facing these new challenges head on and doing their best.

My Project

A new laptop for me would enable me to work longer with more comfort, enable me to plan with my colleagues and upload work, quizzes, forms etc, much faster and hopefully reduce the issues I have with memory and glitching.

A large monitor will enable me to clearly see my students, help me view their work when they hold it up to me, and just enable me to connect to them better simply by being able to see the expressions on their faces.

Their faces are currently about 1 inch big on my screen! I can barely make them out.
