My Students

Imagine being a Theatre student, rehearsing and working hard to put on a show, only to hear the Audience complain that you can't be seen. Please help our school get Stage Lights so that we can "Shine a Light" on our talented students.

The majority of the students in our school have faced extreme adversity in their lives.

They live in very low-income, high crime communities and in reaction to their environment, tend to struggle with communication and trust. Thankfully, our school values the power of Theatre as a medium to help our students learn to express themselves creatively and learn to work as an Ensemble. It gives them something positive and uplifting to be a part of.

My Project

Our students are passionate and excited to create Theatre. We have several performances scheduled this year. The Acting students will be performing scenes from "Antigone". The after-school Drama Club is ambitiously rehearsing an edited version of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. And we will be hosting a Story Slam Competition where students craft and tell personal stories inspired by a theme.

Your donations will help us get a basic lighting package to elevate our performances to a new height.

Our students will be able to truly experience the magic of Theatre and the thrill of shining in the spotlight.
