My Project

I have requested an iPad with a protective case in order to help support my students in all areas of the curriculum. The students will use this iPad with protective case to help them in all subject areas. For example, in math, the students will be able to record themselves teaching lessons, play interactive math games, and practice their math fluency. In reading, I will download interactive books that may be read aloud to the students as well as apps that help them practice their sight words in a fun way.

Students can record themselves to help monitor their fluency in reading.

In writing, I will allow students to study mentor texts online that will help them within their own writing. Additionally, they will work on a class blog, where they can add on to each other's thoughts. The websites and apps I choose will be used to supplement the content in which I am teaching, and will help my students stay motivated and become more independent in all areas of the curriculum. By including the protective case, I can ensure that if a student accidentally drops it, the iPad won't be damaged.
