My classroom is not defined by the four walls that surround us. Our learning goes well beyond those walls. We are inventors, researchers, creators, collaborators, philanthropists, technophiles, and scholars. My students are always reaching for more ways to learn.
My business and technology classes have students from various grade levels, socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, and academic capabilities.
These students come together in such an amazing way to create real results. They support each other unconditionally and really have a desire to change the world around them.
My Project
My students routinely complete hands-on interactive projects in all of my classes. Whether they're completing a STEM challenge or creating products for sale in Entrepreneurship, they go through many consumable materials.
Our classroom Makerspace needs a boost and this project will help infuse it with some much-needed materials!
My students need paints, paint brushes, cardstock, glue, paper cups, and cellophane bags to replenish supplies in their classroom makerspace. They will use these materials for a variety of projects. Paints and paint brushed will be used to decorate hand-made magnets and ornaments that will be sold to raise money for local charities. Cellophane bags and cardstock will be used to package various items for storage and for sales. Epoxy glue will be used to piece together broken items or to assemble new ones. I never quite know what students will do with the materials in front of them. That's the magic of a Makerspace!
