Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin. As a teacher, I work hard to help my students gain clarity and understanding through multiple entry points. Students learn and greatly benefit from different approaches to teaching and learning.

In our classroom, students learn how to be independent thinkers and proud learners.

They are supported and challenged to think deeper.

My students come from different backgrounds, share different talents, and are able to contribute in many ways to the learning that takes place in the classroom. We learn from one another, and help others to understand, using different techniques and various approaches to the topics. We work hard to find the best way that each of our students learn, and work with one another to ensure that we are reaching every individual student in a way that makes everyone feel successful. Our students understand material in many different ways and together, we work to combine the pieces of information to develop a more collaborative understanding.

My Project

The books received from this project will help fulfill our students curiosity while also allowing them to develop the necessary skills to comprehend various genres of texts. Students spend time each day reading both in school and at home, so we'd like to provide ample opportunity and choices for them, using the books in this project.

In a post-pandemic school year, one of our biggest goals is to put appropriately leveled books in our students hands and have them develop, or regain a love of reading.

Students have full access to our classroom library, and we want to provide a selection of books that cater to their interests.
