My Students

Play is an extremely important part of a child's development. These days, with so many standards being pushed down on the younger grades, it is harder and harder to find time to fit in "play".

I teach 15 bright eyed and bushy tailed first graders in an open concept school.

That means no walls!! We have to be creative in the ways that we use technology and active learning strategies (play) so that students get what they need, while not completely disturbing the other classrooms. These students crave active ways to learn. Anything hands-on is the key!

My Project

These Osmo systems will help me to enhance students creative thinking skills, while pulling them away from just hiding behind a screen. The Osmo's are interactive and designed to be played anywhere and with a small group of students. These will be great for our center rotations in math and language.

These Osmo's will bring another form of technology to my students fingertips!

They will be excited to try something new and "outside of the box"! I am excited to see what awesome creations my students come up with!
