My Students

Do you remember the first time you played basketball at school? How much fun it was?

I teach Pre-Kindergarten to eighteen four and five year old children in the New York City Area.

These children are so willing to learn everything they can. The excitement on their faces when we play games is priceless. We have a great school, however it is hard to get supplies that we need to enhance our physical education.

My Project

Everyday we have 25 minutes allotted for physical education. Every two weeks we decide what sport we want to learn about. Then, we do different activities in the classroom, read books and look up that sport on the smart board. Finally, we get to go to the gym and play. We have completed soccer and baseball. The next sport the class voted on to play was basketball. My students need basketballs. Due to budget cuts we do not have balls for the children. The children will get to learn about basketball and how to work together.

You will make it possible for the children to play a game they love.

The will be able to learn about team work and the fundamentals of basketball. Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal.
