My Students

Do you remember the first time you took a picture in school?

I teach Pre-Kindergarten to eighteen children in a New York area public school.

Most of the families come from low income homes. My school is a great school, however we do not have the resources to get all the materials that we need to enhance the quality of teaching.

My Project

We need a digital camera, memory card, and photo paper to capture our memories. How great would it be to be able to make class memory books as well as individual books? This will help our students begin to have a scrap book of their first year in school. They can look and discuss these photos with their classmates, as well as their families. This will enhance their oral language development, vocabulary, and communication skills.

You will make it possible for my children to capture the memories of pre-K.

How great would it be to have a book about pre-K memories and have the parents carry this project onto kindergarten?
