This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Pre-K classroom is a vibrant, hands-on learning environment where students can explore and become life-long learners. This is their very first year of school, and I love to set their expectations high. I have 20 wonderful, fun, loving Pre-K students, who are learning two languages: English and Spanish. They come to school ready to learn each day. They are quick to ask questions, participate, and jump in to exploring and discovering. They will learn to discover, explore with confidence, and develop a lifetime love of learning.

My Project

I have 20 amazing Pre-K students that are learning a new language. There are so many useful resources available to help our students grow and learn using technology. The new listening center will help my students learn Spanish& English and enhance their vocabulary skills. They can follow along with the stories to build the love of reading. Our new books & center activities will help build the love of learning! They can utilize hands on activities to help them learn numbers, the alphabet and learn how to read.

My students love technology and at a young age I want to introduce STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) and create a center within our classroom.

STEAM activities engage, support, and challenge each child no matter their age, language, or ability.

STEAM activities will not only facilitate team building skills, but also critical thinking and problem solving skills. Children love things that move and love robotics. The Bee-Bot, and Tablet will be an engaging technology aspect that will help my student master their fine motor skills, learn coding and enhance their reading and math skills.
