This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach wonderful third-grade students in an ICT setting. Our classroom is very diverse, students come from different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds and have various needs. They are eager to learn and explore with the educational resources they have access to.

As a new teacher, I would love to provide them a stimulating and safe place to learn and grow.

My goal is to make my students amazing learners in the classroom as well as great citizens outside of the classroom.

My Project

This will project will help our students be better learners because they will have a comfy place to sit for our whole group lessons. If we get a rug it will be used daily as we gather around the smart board or white board for most of our lessons. We currently don’t have a rug and have to ask students to sit on the bare floor which can get uncomfortable especially since we spend a big chunk of our day in the meeting area. The rug would also provide a comfortable place for students to read independently or to work in small groups.
