My Students

Kindergarten Kids Can Code! My students need tablets that will enable them to access websites that teaches coding.

The students I teach come from a low socioeconomic close knit community.

It is a community where everyone knows one another. Many of my students do not have access to computers or the internet. I believe that the students I serve deserve to be immersed in an enhanced educational program that will allow them to compete in this 21 Century Learning world.

Our school is a Title I school where 98% of our students receive free or reduced lunch.

Although our students come from a close knit community, they also face some of the harsh realities of life to include residential stability. I would like to provide an educational environment that will build a foundation that will benefit their future so that my students may possibly make a contribution to world we live in.

My Project

My students need experience with technology to compete in the 21 century. These kids are in a low income community and will not have a chance to compete with other kids. These students need to become productive citizens in our community; therefore, our students need the experience visually and the ability to have hands on experience for coding. By using these computers, my students will be able to gain the knowledge and experience to further their education with the steam program. It is impairative to start as soon as our students enter our school system. Our future depends on it.
