My Project

How These Items Will Make a Difference:

Theatre isn’t just about performers—it’s about the incredible team working behind the scenes to create something magical.

My students are the stagehands, designers, and problem-solvers who bring our production of Frozen to life. The two-way radios will allow our backstage crew to coordinate cues and transitions smoothly. The backdrop stands and decorations will transform the stage into Arendelle, making the experience immersive for both the cast and the audience. Face paint and costume details will help complete the characters, giving our students hands-on experience in stage makeup and design. These materials will enhance the production while teaching valuable technical theater skills.

Goals for This Project:

My goal is to give my students a professional-quality theatre experience where they feel valued, capable, and inspired. Many of them aren’t performers, but they have incredible talents in art, design, organization, and problem-solving. With the right tools, they can see firsthand how their creativity contributes to something bigger. This project will help them build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the stage.

What Makes My Students Special:

My students are dedicated, hardworking, and creative. They take pride in their work, knowing that without them, the show couldn’t happen. For some, this is their first introduction to technical theatre—an experience that could spark a lifelong passion for stagecraft, design, or event production.
