Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love teaching our littlest learners. They are hungry for knowledge and love to explore. The flexible seating will give the children in my room options for sitting in the different centers while at school. Although they are not expected to sit, I would like to offer variety for those who want to. Primarily we have used playdoh in my room, but this summer I have done research on clay and I am excited to add that to our rotation.
Clay has many benefits for small hands.
Building fine motor strength is the most important one. It is also so versatile and longer lasting. If it dries out, you can set it out and let the children add water to bring it back to life!
Adding to blocks is a need in our room. It is the most popular area for our children and they need different styles of blocks to add to the diversity of their creations! We add fabric and animals and people, but the arches and jewels will add an interesting dimension and I can't wait to see what they create!
