Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

In my 18 years in education, I have never worked for more appreciative, hard working, and excited students, than my students this year! We are a public school located in the southeastern corner of Cleveland, Ohio.

Despite the challenges that poverty brings, our students are always excited to learn and grow as part of our school community.

My Project

I am requesting 24 connecting book bins to store and organize our new leveled library that we built through donations this past year. The totes will allow us to not only organize the books by reading level but further categorize them into genres, so students can quickly select a book that interests them and is at their level. The supply totes will be used to store material and supplies for use in the library. They will be colored coded so students can quickly select totes based on needs. The cushions will allow for comfortable seating within the library.
