My Students

Help our art room! Many of our supplies have dwindled through wear and tear, and loss.

Our students are inner-city kids who are tough on the outside, but all heart on the inside.

Our school is comprised of a very small amount of students, and since we don't have our own building, we are housed on half of one floor of a much, much larger school. They work hard and they really LOVE ART, which makes my job very enjoyable! I feel so bad when they have to share the 10 pairs of scissors we have left. Lately, I've been cutting drawing papers in half to conserve what we have. The last straw was in June, when I ran out of glue! I had to ask for help.

My Project

Through the use of these supplies, we will be able to create many projects; self-portraits, one and two point perspective drawings, collages, decoupage, etc. As an educator, I believe in teachable moments. Besides the art making, my students will learn about generosity and the importance of the arts in education through your donation.

Your donations will make a huge difference to my students.

We have very little to get us started this September, but I'm hopeful that we can stretch it out as far as we can until these items arrive. We are very resourceful, but we need your help.
