Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year I am teaching in a hybrid model. This means that I will be supporting students both in person, and all of the remote first grade students.

I teach at a Title I school to a community of diverse learners.

My students benefit from different types of support, and finding ways to do so online has been challenging. My students are kind, hard working, and resilient.

My Project

This year I am teaching a hybrid model where I will split my time teaching in person and remotely. I will be the only remote teacher for first grade. I would love access to a digital reader that has texts that are accurately leveled and relate to my students' interests. I also would love the phone holder so I can record myself reading books and upload digitally.

First graders need a lot of support to remain socially distant and safe.

By providing materials such as dry erase markers, book bags (ziploc), and seat spots, I can more easily help my students learn where they can go and to have materials they need to work with the least amount of germs spread possible.

I teach with another co teacher. We typically have all students work together at morning meeting. We need to break up the class, so I would love to have the calendar supplies to have my own meeting area.
