My Project

I am so excited about this project and seeing it come to fruition. My school is a Title 1 school with big class sizes which focuses on Social Emotional Learning in each classroom. We have a high population of ELL and special education students with diverse needs to access the curriculum. Our model is all-inclusive with all learners in the general ed classroom.

We have multi-level instruction and differentiated instruction happening in the classroom, so each student can learn in their way.

This means a lot of centers and small group work is done throughout the day. We also have a lot of movement breaks and want to give students the right place to learn in the classroom.

The seating on my project list will be a big help when grouping students. The stools are small enough to make more room around the small table and the cushions can help make a group work on the floor more comfortably. The cart, trays, and baskets can help with organizing my center supplies so it is easy to access students joining a center and time efficient having everything ready to go at each center.

The reading bean bag chairs are great for my students who need to take a break but can still work or read independently. The colorful clipboard and dry-erase pouches will be useful when having to work on the floor or when they need to move around the room to work on an activity. The seating can also be used for flexible seating and give my students places to go when they need to take a moment and reset. These supplies will be a great investment in my classroom and will greatly help all my students meet their goals.
