Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Decodable readers are an essential tool in helping my students learn to read because they provide structured, phonics-based practice that builds confidence and fluency. These books are designed with controlled text that aligns with the phonics skills my students are learning, allowing them to apply their decoding strategies in a meaningful way.

For students who struggle with oral reading fluency, like some in my class, decodable readers offer the repetition and reinforcement needed to improve accuracy, speed, and comprehension.

By focusing on sound-spelling patterns they’ve been explicitly taught, these books prevent guessing and promote real reading success.

With access to more decodable readers, my students will have the opportunity to practice and master foundational reading skills, setting them up for long-term literacy success. Your donation would make a lasting impact by giving them the resources they need to grow into confident, capable readers.
