My Project

I currently run the after school news club that meets twice a week for an hour and a half. Up until this point, we've been learning script writing, interviewing skills, filming and editing techniques, and now we're starting to put our media out into the world! As our program continues to grow and expand, I want to provide more materials for students to have flexibility and accessibility when it comes to reporting what they feel is important.

Students have already put out several videos in which they've reported on everything from robotics competitions, to sports games, to major news events happening in our community.

They come to our meetings each week, excited, invigorated, and passionate about what they do. I feel by building up our resources, students will be further motivated to become star reporters!
