Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an advisor to an amazing group of 9th graders. They need a little bit of guidance and some time management and organizational skills to stay on task. After the first marking period I observed that some of my advisees need practice building executive functioning.

My Project

We could all use a little reminder on how to better organize our lives to succeed. My students in my advisory could use some tools like a personal hole puncher, a pencil case, folder, and high lighters to bring some order to otherwise messy backpacks. The goal is to help my students in advisory not get so stressed out by the lack of organization in their lives. I also added Birthday pencils and color pencils to remind students that sometimes in advisory we want to wind down and de-stress and to celebrate each other.
