My Project

I am a physical therapist who is privileged to work with children with special needs who are physically challenged in their school environment. I strive daily to assist my students improve their physical and emotional balance. My students love to be in school and engaged with their teachers and peers and participate in all the school activities. They are like any young child but they have multiple disabilities that require adaptive equipment to assist them in their world.

Many of my students struggle with regulating their emotions due to sensory overload.

Thankfully, there are devices to assist with sensory awareness and emotional regulation and my students make significant improvements in their overall abilities when given appropriate adaptive equipment.

It is with that in mind that my team of fellow therapists and I are turning to you, our generous friends and family, to help us acquire the adaptive tools which will make a huge difference in the lives of our students. These tools include trampolines, rocking chairs and a swing.

Your generous support will help our students become happy and engaged in their educational environment as well as be more interactive with their peers.
