Help Ms. Krause

All of my students have the potential to go to college and I am excited that I have a role to help them achieve their goals. I am a first-year teacher at an high-need school in Missouri. I teach high school Spanish to 175 students that are eager to learn about the different cultures of the world.

Foreign language is an extremely important subject for college-bound students. I know that by teaching Spanish, my students will become more globally aware and prepared to enter college. Teaching in an inner-city school presents problems when it comes to supplies. Often times my students do not have the same opportunities for exploration because of their economic situation. My students have loved learning about the different cultures of the world and are curious to see and hear how other cultures interact. I would love to send my students to college knowing a second-language and more about the world we live in.

These speakers would allow my students to gain an understanding not only of the dialects from different countries, but also to see and hear cultural happenings from around the world. These speakers would help them with their accents and prepare them to enter college with a solid foundation of Spanish.

You will make it possible for my students to succeed in foreign language and help them get into the college of their choice. The zip code one lives in should not determine the educational opportunities one receives. I know that these speakers will make the world of difference for these students and you can help my students reach their goals through your donations.
