Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We will be hosting a health and wellness day where we will be inviting community organizations to our school to promote healthy lifestyle habits. We want to assist with food insecurities, and healthy activities (biking, skateboarding, and running), and also have various self-care activities the day of the event like gardening, art therapy, sand art, and much more!

Last year we had several agencies from around the Bronx visit us and provide our families with tons of resources to lead healthier lifestyles.

While we reside in the South Bronx, health and nutrition are scarce but with events like this, we can bridge the gap!
