Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with 18 wonderful and inquisitive Pre-Kindergarten students in a diverse school in Brooklyn, New York. The children love to learn new things everyday and engage in developmentally appropriate learning activities. The children love to visit the math and science centers daily.

My Pre-Kindergarten students need new books, math materials, and science supplies to learn important science and math skills with!

Our math and science centers are lacking updated and age appropriate materials for our students to practice science and math skills in fun and meaningful ways.

My Project

My Pre-Kindergarten students have a natural curiosity that inspires them to observe and question the world around them! In order to help them build upon their curiosity to gain math and science skills, our class needs the math and science books, materials, and supplies to do this.

My students need marbles, magnetic cars, test tubes, tape measures, number lines and other science and math materials for learning.

Having hands-on materials is key for children of this age to learn. With your help we can have all the science and math materials they need to learn important skills such as life cycles, magnetism, chemistry, physics, measurement, counting, and beginning addition. The children would have access to these supplies daily at center time for independent use and they will be used in small group learning activities.

We would be so grateful for any donation you can give towards the supplies our little scientists and mathematicians need to fuel their desire to learn!
