Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school students are at a critical juncture in their educational journey, where understanding and leveraging personal strengths can dramatically influence their academic performance and future success.

By introducing "CliftonStrengths for Students" into our curriculum, we aim to provide our students with a profound tool for self-discovery.

This book not only aids in recognizing individual talents, but, also guides students on how to apply these strengths in academic and personal life. We believe that by empowering our students to know themselves better, we can foster a learning environment where each student thrives, leading to higher engagement, improved mental health, and a clearer path to their future goals.

The book includes an access code for each student to take the CliftonStrengths assessment, which identifies their top five talent themes. Understanding these themes can increase students' self-awareness, helping them recognize their natural talents and how these can be cultivated into strengths. This self-knowledge is pivotal for personal growth and can enhance their confidence and engagement in school activities.

By understanding their strengths, students can choose courses, activities, and study methods that align with their natural talents, potentially leading to better academic performance. The book provides insights into how to use these strengths in educational settings, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning process.

"CliftonStrengths for Students" not only aids in academic settings, but, also in career planning. It offers practical advice on how to apply strengths in leadership roles, internships, and future careers, preparing students for life beyond high school. This can lead to more informed decisions about their educational and career paths.

The project will transform our classroom into a space where each student’s unique contribution is recognized and utilized, fostering an inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.
