This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There are amazing apps available for students in crisis. As a teacher and a counselor I'd like to have a small electronic device for students to engage with those apps when they're in crisis.

A small ipad will be the perfect thing to help students use the mental health to calm down, return to centre and be able to develop strategies that they can use on their own when they're not with a counselor.

Things like meditation, de-escalation, reality testing and mediation can all be introduced to students and used to help them be their best selves, return to class and thrive.
