My Project

My special education students love to express themselves artistically. They have recently expressed interest in making gifts for their families. After examining some examples, they have decided to try their hand at embroidery! As a speech/language therapist I am so excited to help them with this process.

We will be working on following directions, pragmatic skills, social-emotional learning and vocabulary skills while we make gifts for family members.

My students have chosen their projects and they are motivated to learn something new.

Being able to complete an age-appropriate project and share it with their families is important for my students. I know that they will appreciate the ability to create such beautiful gifts.
