Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an occupational therapist working in a low socioeconomic area in the Bronx, NY and my students face a multitude of challenges affecting growth and learning.

Help me provide my students the tools that will help them grow, develop and facilitate their path to classroom success.

The mini trampoline will help my Autistic students improve muscle strength, endurance, motor planning, coordination, and attention. These are foundational skills necessary to support overall development and learning. The puzzles and games will also help my students build fine motor skills that are necessary to support performance in activities such as cutting, drawing, writing, etc.

Having access to these items in occupational therapy sessions will help my students become stronger, more engaged, and attentive. Thank you for supporting this project!
