Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi! Creating a perfect atmosphere to learn English is key. Having a classroom library with books in English, Spanish and Japanese will help my students see these languages every day when they enter the classroom.

Books like 'Book of Feelings' and 'Isabel and her Colores go to School' will help them explore their feelings while learning important vocabulary in context.

I requested 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' to start learning the days of the week. I requested 'The Dot' because it helps us understand that sometimes it can be frustrating to start a new project, but we can all succeed. Other books were chosen for the relevant content related to school and the students' lives. Many of them come from different countries and 'We are all connected' deals with the topic of diversity and community.
