Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 5th-grade students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to explore history in a way that makes sense to them. They thrive when given resources that present complex topics in clear and engaging ways. Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds, and I strive to ensure that all voices and perspectives are heard in our classroom.

I am requesting a classroom set of Everything You Need to Ace U.S.

History in One Big Fat Notebook. This book is a game-changer for young historians! It presents history in a way that is easy to understand, visually engaging, and broken down into digestible sections that make learning fun and accessible.

We use this book throughout our studies to break down key historical events, from the American Revolution to Westward Expansion and beyond. It helps students grasp big ideas while also connecting them to real people and moments in time. Having a full class set would allow every student to have their own copy to follow along, reference, and use for interactive activities. Many of my students do not have access to engaging history resources outside of school. With your help, we can ensure they have a tool that makes history come alive, builds confidence in their understanding, and fosters a lifelong love of learning.
