It was my first year teaching last year and I absolutely fell in love with teaching and with my amazing first graders. I am now going into my second year with a better idea of what items may benefit my students and help them flourish.
Having a comfortable and welcoming rug in my classroom with help encourage and invite my students for our carpet time that I value highly.
This is a time where we bond as a class and accomplish a lot of vital learning together. It is very important to me that they feel the most comfortable at all times in my classroom environment.
Having display items such as the white rod and white holder for my whiteboard is also something that will encourage my students to learn and pay attention to key information that we are discussing in our classroom. These display items will be used to daily to show the date and the read aloud books we are currently reading.
Having organization items such as the plastic bins will allow for me to help organize my classroom materials to benefit my students at the times that I need them. Organization is such a key part of teaching, and it really benefits everyone in the classroom environment.
