Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a second grade teacher working in a Title I school, where most of my students come from low income families, are ELL students and new to this country.

My goal for my students is to have them become independent learners and readers by the time they leave 2nd grade.

It is important to me that my classroom is clean for my students' safety, but also want them to be able to make a mess while they learn. That is why the Bissell Natural Sweep Carpet and Floor cleaner is a necessity for my classroom.

During the school year we will be exploring and engaging in a variety of materials during ELA and math centers. That is why I am asking for the play dough and the magnetic letters.

Materials like the whiteboards, acrylic stand, storage baskets, clipboards and the Pete the Cat reading strategies, are daily materials that will help my students not only maintain a tidy environment by increasing storage space, but help my students collaborate and brainstorm together on a projects.
