My Project

I have many students who are more engaged when they can build and draw as opposed to watching a video or looking at pictures. The skeleton will provide a great reference for my students, who are learning all about the human body for the first time! Additionally, for my 9th grade Interactions class, molecular modeling kits will help immensely with visualizing atoms and molecules. With these kits, each of my students can build their own molecules, thus furthering their understanding of bonding and molecular composition. My biology students will also be able to use these to better understand the complexity of macromolecules such as nucleic acids and carbohydrates.

This skeleton and molecular modeling kits will provide different modalities for my students to engage in the material.

Objects students have never seen like the vertebral arteries or benzene, are very challenging to visualize without tangible aids. These supplies will make it much easier to grasp new concepts in the classroom.
