My Students

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working with special needs students in diverse school. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of special needs. They have disabilities ranging from developmental delays, to autism, to intellectual disabilities. All of my students have goals in many different areas and at many different levels.

My students are working to build skills in language, functional communication, speech sound production, and fluency.

Working with such a diverse population I need to have many different options to help them all stay engaged and make great gains.

My Project

My students have been coming along in this digital world. Having a green screen and props will help me develop their language and literacy skills. A variety of puppets, toys and digital materials will help take them to a digital fantasy world. We can go on virtual field trips and use toys and digital backgrounds for reinforcement as well.

Giving them a variety will help keep them engaged and motivated.

One of the most important parts of speech is that it needs to be generalized By having different avenues to experience various activities they will be able to make real life connections to help them learn and grow.
