My Students

My kids come from a place where they have received very limited resources at home, and unfortunately at school, too. They are not given the materials that are necessary for them to develop their minds to their full potential. These children are so talented and special, and just need to receive an equitable opportunity that other schools get to reach their full potential.

My students come in every day doubting themselves and what they are capable of; I am working day in and day out to show these kids that they can and will succeed!

My Project

Everyone who works in the field of education has experienced how challenging this school year has been. Students have not had a regular year of school since the 2018/2019 school year. That's Kindergarten for my babies! As we are all adapting and finding a new normal, I have realized how important celebrating good behavior is for keeping positive energy in the classroom.

Having unique prizes to reward the students with on Fun Fridays has made a huge impact on student behavior.

Positive reinforcement gives the students an incentive to follow expectations. I love the energy it has brought to my classroom, especially on Fridays!
