Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a diverse group of high school students who come from all walks of life! My students are thoughtful, enthusiastic and highly motivated learners who love to challenge themselves think critically! As early teenagers not only are my students at the cusp of experiencing the changes that accompany their transition from childhood into early adulthood, but many also beginning to experience higher levels of pressure from their social and academic lives. To best support their learning and growth, I hope to create a classroom environment where my students can feel safe and supported.

For this project, I am requesting supplies that will transform our bare classroom into a warm and inviting space that my students can learn and thrive in.

The students who are hungry can have a snack to help themselves refuel and re-energize. Writing supplies can provide students an outlet to express themselves and their emotions. When students feel physically and mentally safe and affirmed, they can learn to become agents of change and impact the world around them!
