My Project

After Covid-19 happened the students have been more reluctant to want to come to school every day and want to learn. I want to provide an inviting and calming space with the lamps, pillows, comfortable floor seating, etc. in my classroom where the students feel welcome and loved using lowkey colors to naturally relieve anxiety.

Since I teach first grade, learning to read is such an important part of our day and year.

I want the students to jump at the chance to go to the reading area and pick out their favorite book, in their favorite seating option, and get lost in their imagination. These items I am asking for will help do that!

We also do a portion of our reading program on our Chromebooks. It is important to have them charged regularly and the plastic drawers will help organize and camoflauge my chargers to help keep my classroom looking nice. The candy will help with positive reinforcement when the students are reading on a regular basis and the privacy folders will help me with assessing their progress in reading!
