My Students

Our students attend a rural public high school, which serves about 530 students. We are located in an area where the socioeconomic status of many residents is low. Many students have parents who are out of work. Our school relies heavily on state funding and this year, we are struggling once again due to COVID-19. Budgets are being cut and our students are feeling the brunt.

Our students are creative and kind and they strive to reach their goals no matter what obstacles they face.

They continue to achieve success despite more challenges and fewer resources. They forge ahead without complaints. Although funds are low, our students' passion for books hasn't dulled one bit. Please help keep this thirst for literature alive by supporting our school.

My Project

Now, more than ever, students' emotional well being needs to be fostered. The pandemic has hit everyone hard, especially our students. Kids need a positive, mood boosting environment in which to study, read, relax, and research. Artwork and inspirational sayings help lift the spirits and make kids feel happier and more productive.

I work each year to enhance our library's visual appeal and make it an inviting and enriching place for students, staff, and community members to be.

Please help me bring happiness and peace to our kids right from the start of the school year by helping me raise money for new library decorations like a book tissue box cover, reading quote pillow covers, and library and reading themed wall art that will help make our kids' hearts light once again.
