Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Remember mastering your new devices and feeling so proud. This is an amazing feeling, but I know that it takes much practice and exposure to do so. I want my students to be intrigued about what lesson we are learning and able to independently work by themselves.

Ninety-six percent of the students who attend my school qualify for free or reduced priced lunches.

For many of my pre-kindergarten students it's their first time away from their mother and fathers. They come to school with limited experiences and have had little opportunities to use technology. They want to learn about everything and interactive technology will help them to experience and learn about many aspects of our world in exciting ways.

My Project

My students will use the laptop with headphones during small group lessons. This will give them the opportunity to learn how to work the computer and different applications that are available to them. Pre-Kindergarten is all about early intervention and early exposure. Students will able to have hands-on experiences with technology. These hands-on experiences will build strong foundations in technology for my students' futures. Having access to technology will allow my students to practice vital skills and eventually master the skills that they are struggling with. These essential technology tools in the classroom will allow students to improve in math, science, writing, reading, practice fine motor skills, and so much more.

Having these resources in my classroom will help my students in so many ways.

My students will get the small group instruction that is tailored to their individual needs. I know that small group lessons and early exposure is vital to my students success. My students will also be exposed to technology at an early age which will help them with future endeavors. They will always remember their first teacher that brought technology into the classroom in a fun and exciting way.
