Help me give my students wobble stools for my reading/intervention table. I work at a Title 1 school in Illinois and wobble stools will help my Kindergarteners stay focused while I am teaching.

My Project

I am requesting wobble stools for my students to sit on while they are at my reading group/intervention table. Last school year, I noticed that several of my Kindergarten students had a difficult time sitting still in their seats and focusing while I was teaching reading and providing interventions at my teacher table. With the understanding that it is a necessary thing for Kindergarteners to get their wiggles out, I believe that having active seating at my teacher table will help my students stay focused. Wobble stools have a base that stays put but can rock back and forth. Therefore, wobble stools would give the children an opportunity to move their bodies and maintain better focus while I am teaching.

Sitting on wobble stools will help my students focus by providing active seating and they are fun!

I teach at a Title 1 school. Many of my students will need to come to my teacher table for additional interventions. Additionally, every child in my classroom will have the opportunity to use the wobble stools during guided reading instruction. The presence of wobble stools will make the students excited to come to my teacher table for both interventions and reading groups.
