This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My vivacious, creative, and affable students are from a high needs/high poverty public elementary school in New York City. They love art and are very grateful that our school offers a visual arts education program that understands the impact art has on their development.

As the age of technology becomes increasingly more present in their lives and in education, they are expected to keep up with the constant changes, but due to lack of money in our budget they fall behind the wave.

My Project

This printer will make a difference in my students' learning because it will allow my lessons that integrate technology to come to life in order to share those experiences with the whole school community.

When I print their artwork, I will display it throughout the school and during our school's art exhibition at the end of the year.

My students will get to take their printed artwork home to frame and display with pride.

In a world where technology is ever-changing and mandatory when it comes to careers and life, my students need to learn creative and innovative ways that technology can communicate their views powerfully and effectively. Having a printer will give my students an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of technology in our world, as well as in art.
