My Project

I am a brand new Life Skills teacher. I have seven wonderful children in my class who all have some sort of cognitive disabilities. My students mainly have autism, and I am trying to teach them skills that they can take as they move though life.

The materials that I've chosen are geared towards engaging my students and helping them learn real life skills.

From recognizing environmental signs to recognizing their names, I'm teaching skills that will transfer across their lives. Each student is unique and special, and I know that you'd love them if you met them.

The resources that I've chosen include snacks that will help feed my students and toys and games to help them to learn colors, shapes, letters, and social skills to help navigate their life. From learning how to play cooperatively with building blocks to learning how to cut with scissors, each item is geared towards the learning and development of my students.
