My Project

I am thrilled to introduce myself as a 3rd year first-grade teacher. As I embark on this journey with my students, I am dedicated to fostering a love for reading from the very start. Our classroom library is currently limited, and I need your help to provide essential resources that will enhance our reading experience.

With your generous support, I aim to build a diverse collection of first-grade readers, decodable books, and engaging read-alouds.

These resources will be integrated into our daily routines to create a dynamic learning environment. I plan to implement small group activities where students can practice reading independently using books that match their current reading level. For example, as students progress in phonics and sight word recognition, they will have access to decodable books that reinforce these skills. This targeted approach will help build their confidence and fluency, paving the way for academic success.

Your contribution will directly impact my students by providing them with the foundational tools they need to become lifelong readers.
