Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This will be my first year teaching at this school, but I already know that my students are amazing! I have had the opportunity to learn that this group of students are compassionate and welcoming. They are very energetic and love it when movement can be incorporated into any lesson.

This group of students are kind, generous and very helpful.

They are always eager to find out what new concepts they will be learning about. They are respectful and take into consideration the opinions of others. They are a great group of kids!

My Project

The different books I selected show people of different backgrounds accomplishing their goals, and I want my students to be exposed to these different role models. I want my students to understand the importance of diversity and know that they are capable of anything!

My students are in the STEAM Magnet and need to be exposed to different careers involving STEAM that they might be interested in.

It is never too early to expose students to the possibilities of their future. I think having these books available in the library will be beneficial for students because they can start to really focus on what their interests are.
