Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking your help in transforming my classroom into a more flexible learning environment by providing my students with lap desks, an area rug and bean bag chairs. These items will give my students the freedom to choose where they work best, whether that's at a traditional desk, on the floor or in a comfortable corner of the room.

In many elementary classrooms, students benefit from a variety of seating options that allow them to engage in their learning in a way that suits their individual needs.

I want to bring that same approach to my high school classroom. By offering alternative seating and workspaces, I aim to foster a more dynamic and student-centered learning environment where students feel empowered to choose how and where they learn best.

The flexible arrangement will not only make the classroom more comfortable but also encourage collaboration and problem-solving. A dedicated corner with bean bags and an area rug can serve as a collaborative space where students gather to discuss ideas and work together on projects. These changes will help to create a classroom atmosphere that promotes engagement, creativity, and a love of learning.
