Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My 25 third grade students are creative, hard-working and full of energy. We are a Title I School and 100% of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. We are located in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Our children come from low socioeconomic households and assistance is often needed in order to find success.

Teachers in our school are continually helping families in anyway possible. I would love to provide my students with all the tools possible to improve their education.

My Project

I am a brand new teacher, starting after the first month of school. Donating these materials to me would help build up the amount of supplies I have readily available for the students to use in my classroom. My students often do not have their own personal supplies needed to complete daily assignments within the classroom so they often need to borrow pencils, colored pencils, glue and various other materials. I would also like to get a small white board easel to help bring visual aids into small group reading and math instruction to further student understanding. All of these supplies are much needed and would make a world of difference for my students learning.
