My Students

My students range from pre-K through fifth grade. They include students with Autism, ADHD, intellectual delays, dyslexia, articulation delays and other disorders or delays that restrict them from communicating effectively. These students are in both special and general education environments.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and need help in developing their speech and language skills.

Many of the students also have difficulties focusing and deserve an environment conducive to learning. Helping these students reach their potential is a priority to me. Developing their speech and language skills is essential to their success in all aspects of education.

My Project

These tools will be used to help my PreK-2nd grade students learn about concepts such as on, in, next to, etc., categories, and items that go together using fun manipulatives. Manipulatives are always useful when working with younger children because they allow for the children to learn without realizing they are learning. The reading manipulatives will be used with my K-2nd graders who are struggling to read. These items will be used along with a multi-sensory approach to help students learn the foundations of reading. If you can please help bring these manipulatives to my Speech and Language delayed students.
