Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over the past few years, students at our school have engaged in hyper local activism with their Librarian. They wrote letters to Mr. Tony from Harlem Grown to let him know they wanted a garden in front of their school.

Our librarian wrote grants and procured $20,000 for our beautiful garden!

We have begun planting for our first season!

However, we are missing an adequate watering system. This grant will help us store our gardening materials and also have a hose in a safe system for watering that is not an eye soar!
