Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds. A large portion of my school's population comes from poverty-stricken homes; poverty is their everyday, dark cloud. They are kids with hopes and dreams of making their lives better and bettering the future of their families. They deserve a chance to have hope. That hope begins with giving them a voice. They bring their suggestions to us and we listen. We do whatever it takes to help them find success in school and life. It is our hope that their many successes in school translate into finding better lives for themselves and their families.

My Project

The use of a computer (MacBook Pro) is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using this device allows me to interact with my students more and see exactly what they are doing as well as assessing their understanding in hand at that moment. By having an updated computer in our classroom students will be able to avoid most distractions and focus on increasing their learning!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase my student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

My Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
