My Project

Hello! My name is Mr. Linn, I am first-year fourth grade teacher at San Francisco's RPES in the Western Addition neighborhood.

I just visited my new classroom and am now looking for items that can create a comfortable learning environment for my students that also takes into account their physical and learning differences.

The majority of my lessons are taught from the front of the classroom to students seated on the rug. This carpeted space is the center of student learning and should be comfortable and welcoming. The addition of the Non-Slip Area Rug Pad allows for all students to sit on the classroom rug without having to feel the floor!

Since many lessons being taught come from slide decks I create, seeing and hearing the content is very important. Currently, my classroom has a projector, but lighting, lack of audio connection, and the space it takes up all factor into the benefits of having a TV in the classroom. Since I am able to acquire a large TV via donation, the Kanto Mobile TV Stand will allow me to find an ideal space in the room to display my lesson's slides.

Through student teaching and subbing in elementary classrooms, I have found that students of varying body sizes need more options for comfortable seating. The Urban Lifestyle Saucer Chair will allow students the option to sit with the whole class in seating that is more accommodating to their body type.

While there are many items that I will need in the future, these are the few that seem most pertinent for a comfortable classroom.
